In our continued collaboration with Kido, we contributed to the launch of their newest preschool and daycare center in Houston. Their goal was to create a safe, welcoming space where young children could explore, learn, and play freely. With active play being a big part of the daily routine—both indoors and outdoors—it was essential to reduce the risk of accidents, especially around structural pillars and doorways. With this in mind, they decided to equip the facility with our Pillar Wall Guards and Finger Alert Professional systems. These products were selected to meet the specific safety needs of the space while blending seamlessly into the school’s thoughtful design.
Kido Memorial, Houston
Kido Memorial in Houston, Texas offers over 6,000 square feet of space designed for early childhood development. The school features eight age-specific classrooms, each tailored to different stages of growth. Inspired by the Reggio Emilia approach, the learning environments are filled with purposefully chosen materials, child-sized furniture, and hands-on activity zones that support creativity and curiosity.
The school also includes a large outdoor playground, partially covered to provide shade, as well as an all-weather indoor play area—both essential for year-round movement and play. Children from six weeks to five years old are welcomed into a space that blends educational excellence with warmth and care.
