A safe solution, close to home Although Arte Viva is active in more than 50 countries, we find it just as valuable to work on projects close to home. Cothen is literally around the corner for us, which made it extra special to implement our child safety solutions at De Brienenshof Daycare. This green, small-scale daycare on a family farm gives children the opportunity to grow up surrounded by nature – and we are proud to have contributed to creating a safe environment here.
Because the location is nearby, we visited in person to assess the situation. For each door, we provided tailored advice to ensure that safety perfectly matched the needs of the daycare.
Farm-based Daycare De Brienenshof
Farm-based Daycare De Brienenshof is located on a traditional dairy farm where cheese and dairy products are made. Founder Martina fulfilled her long-cherished dream by starting a daycare on the farm. Her background in primary education and her desire to bring children closer to nature are the foundation of this unique project.
The daycare is deliberately small-scale, with children grouped by age and plenty of personal attention. Parents are closely involved through intake meetings, daily handovers, and themed evenings. Outdoors, the children experience farm life every day: feeding the cows, bringing fruit to the pigs, or playing among the sheep and goats. In this way, they grow up in an environment where nature, care, and play go hand in hand.
